Station Tours
Station Tours and Block Parties
The Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District welcomes the opportunity to connect with our community through guided station tours. These tours provide an inside look at your fire department and the critical services we deliver each day.
Station tours typically last approximately one hour and include:
- A walkthrough of the fire station, including living and operational areas
- An overview of daily operations and emergency response readiness
- The opportunity to meet firefighters, paramedics, and command staff
- A close-up look at fire apparatus, ambulances, and specialized equipment
Tours are designed for groups of all ages. For the best experience, group sizes of 15 or fewer are preferred. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note that our primary responsibility is emergency response. In the event of a call for service, tours may be delayed, modified, or interrupted to ensure we meet the needs of the community.
In addition to station tours, the District may be available to support community events such as block parties or neighborhood gatherings, based on staffing and operational availability.
To request a station tour or inquire about community event participation, please contact our Fire Prevention Bureau at 847-945-4088 to check availability and schedule your visit.
